Lansing Police Arrest 12 In Prostitution Sting Operation

LANSING, MI (WLNS) –  A prostitution sting operation conducted by the Lansing Police Department Special Operations Section operation led to nine vehicle seizures and 12 arrests.

The sting operation ran throughout the day, into the evening and was conducted by the Uniform Patrol Division along the Kalamazoo St. corridor, which runs from Larch St. to Mifflin.

Lansing Police Chief Mike Yankowski says “the successful results of the sting send a loud and clear message that prostitution will not be tolerated in the city of Lansing.

All suspects arrested are facing charges that range from a misdemeanor to a felony. They are expected to be arraigned soon, but have not been at this time.

The Special Operations Section and the Uniform Patrol Division also posted no loitering letters along the Kalamazoo St. corridor.
