(WLNS) - The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released an updated child care centers report and it didn't turn out well.
This new report really shines light on the hazardous conditions that your child could be in every day.
From furniture-polish being within a child's reach, to them being placed in a crib without protective cushioning, these are just some of the many flaws found in Michigan day care homes.
According to the new report none of the three child centers they checked conducted a required criminal records check or protective services check on their employees, including one in East Lansing.
Two of those three centers were also described as having hazardous conditions for children with blocked emergency exits and uncovered electrical outlets.
These unannounced visits happened last year and the report recommends more frequent inspections.
