Police ID Vitamin Tampering Suspect

UPDATE: Police have identified a suspect, but have not released a name at this time, this according to our media partners at MLive. The suspect has not been arrested.

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WLNS) - Officials in Kalamazoo County are looking for the person responsible for tampering with a couple dozen vitamin bottles in Meijer stores.

Meijer officials contacted police on Wednesday to report they had found tampered bottles of Mega Red Ultra-Strength Omega-3 Krill Oil.

The gel pills in the bottle were replaced with a variety of other products, including chocolate chips, cat food or prescription medication such as Sotalol, Coumadin and prescription strength Ibuprofen.

The tampered products have been found at all four Meijer stores in Kalamazoo County.
