ODD NEWS: Koala Rescued With Mouth-To-Mouth

Posted: Updated:
(CBS) - Fire fighters and wildlife volunteers in Australia, have brought a koala back from the dead, in a stunning rescue overnight.

Using mouth-to mouth, rescuers resuscitated the little marsupial. They even got pictures of it, as they did it.

Dazed and confused ... the koala is given a hug on the road to recovery after a night rescuers won't forget.

After being hit by a vehicle two nights ago the koala sought refuge in a tree.

Wildlife Victoria and the CFA attended to check on him last night - and he wasn't in good shape. They were able to drop him out of the tree but they knew he was in distress.

When he didn't respond ... They began C-P-R. Oxygen was brought in ... and the little guy fought back. Dazed and shaken the koala came to.. And he looked familiar. They thought he was a koala known as Sir Chompalot. But rescuers were mistaken ...

He now goes by Sean ... After the Fire brigade captain.
