Baby Critical: Lansing Police Investigate Infant Abuse

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - A two-month old boy is reportedly in critical condition today, a victim, Lansing Police say, of apparent child abuse.

Police were called to an apartment on the 600 block of Sadie Court just before 1:30 this morning.  When they arrived they found the infant's mother and her boyfriend attempting CPR.  They reportedly told officers the child was not breathing.

The baby was taken to a local hospital and found to have significant brain bleeding.  Detectives are investigating the incident as a Child Abuse case and no one is in custody.
