n Emmerich has been a member of the 6 News Team since 2003. She got her start in broadcasting as a radio newscaster at WCFX-WABX in Clare, while studying Broadcast & Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University. Upon graduation from CMU, Emmerich began her television career as an Anchor/Reporter for WWTV-WWUP-TV in Cadillac, Michigan.
Emmerich's reports have earned her recognition from the Associated Press, the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She anchors 6 News at 6 & 11 on Saturday and Sunday, and contributes reports during the week.
Emmerich serves on the Board of Directors for Highfields, Inc., a multi-purpose, human services organization that touches more than 8,000 people each year. She also serves on the board of the Okemos Athletic Boosters.
Emmerich lives in the Lansing area with her husband and 3 sons.
