

An award winning meteorologist, David Young serves as Chief Meteorologist for WLNS TV-6. David helps to bring you Mid Michigan's most accurate forecast. He holds degrees in both Meteorology as well as Environmental Science. David also is a recipient of the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval for television weathercasting.
From storms producing tornadoes and baseball size hail to crippling winter storms, David has seen his share of severe weather. His coverage have not gone unnoticed either. He has received 6 Associated Press awards for weathercasting. First and foremost of course though is to provide the residents of Mid Michigan with the most dependable forecast possible.
David's career has taken him all across the United States. He began as weekend meteorologist for WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. He then worked a short time for WITN in the same market before heading up the road to WTVD in the Raleigh-Durham market. After that David moved to West Texas where he served as Chief Meteorologist for KLBK, the CBS affiliate in Lubbock, Texas.
David has two children. Bryan, the self proclaimed king of Xbox, is the older of the two. Daniel is the younger brother and is the mischievous one. When away from work David enjoys doing just about anything outdoors from camping and hiking to skiing and biking. David also enjoys weightlifting and jogging.
