Ingredients:

  • 1 large can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup Vodka (better grade)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 heavy cream
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (diced)
  • fresh basil (chopped)
  • 16 oz bag of favorite pasta (cooked and *drained)
    *pasta water helps bind sauce to pasta, so hold on to a half a cup or so

Directions:

  1. Sautee onion and garlic until soft, add tomatoes and broth, simmer for 10 mins.
  2. Add vodka and simmer for 10 mins, cooking off alcohol.
  3. Slowly stirring, add cream not to curdle, simmer on low for 10 mins.
  4. Combine pasta and sauce in large dish and garnish with fresh basil.
