October Tornado Outbreak October 18, 2007

One year ago, mid Michigan was bracing for their first snow storm of the season. Icy conditions, heavy snowfall, and freezing temperatures concerned Michiganders. There were new concerns this year. Instead of feeling a normal, mild October autumn, or last year's winter-like October, this time, mid Michigan experienced severe summertime storm conditions. Rare for this time of year, most of the Lower Peninsula was under a tornado watch. These watches turned into severe thunderstorms and in some cases tornado touchdowns....
