Hometown: Hudsonville, Michigan
I graduated from: Valparaiso University in May 2021 with a B.S. in Meteorology
Other places I’ve lived: Outside of a few years early on in Bardstown, Kentucky, I have lived in West Michigan for my entire life up until moving to Lansing!
I’m passionate about: Providing an easy-to-understand, informative yet entertaining weather forecast to get viewers ready for the day ahead.
I can’t stop talking about: Racing! I am a diehard racing fan, from NASCAR to Formula 1 to the local late models and sprint cars. The chief David Young groans when Jim Geyer and I are in the same room because he knows what we are going to talk about!
When I’m not forecasting, I’m: If it’s during the week, I’m likely riding my bike around or shopping at your local Meijer. If it’s on the weekend, there’s a very good chance I’m either at a race track or watching it on television!
Other places you may have seen me: I spent some time in college working for WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids as a weather producer and providing school closing predictions for the area. I also love to frequent I-96 Speedway and other local race tracks on the weekends to support the locals and watch a great show!
Favorite place in Mid-Michigan: Downtown St Johns! I love riding my bike on the trail that runs through town and grabbing some food afterward!
What I love most about Mid-Michigan: The small towns that makeup what we consider to be Mid-Michigan. There is so much history rooted within each community, and I’ve been having a blast learning about them all.
Fun Fact: I was an intern here at WLNS back in 2018, the summer after my freshman year in college! I made the drive over from the west side of the state a few times a week to work with David… little did I know the internship would turn into a morning position here after college! Additionally, I have a cat named Blaney that I adopted from the Ingham County Animal Shelter shortly after moving here, and she has been a great companion!
Anything else you want viewers to know: Please, don’t hesitate to say hello if you see me out and about! I absolutely love connecting with and talking to viewers and am incredibly appreciative of everyone allowing me to provide them with the forecast each morning.
