Drs. Ryan and Monica Wohlfert
After growing up in the Lansing area and graduating Summa Cum Laude in Kinesiology-Movement Science from the University of Michigan, Dr. Ryan earned another Bachelor of Science and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic. He continued his education by getting Certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) and Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). Over the last two decades, Dr. Ryan has treated 1,000's of patients, giving well over 75,000 treatments, helping them achieve their health goals.
After graduating with honors from Praire State College, Dr. Monica earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences. Because she saw the enormous benefit children could receive from chiropractic treatment, Monica earned her Certificate in Chiropractic Pregnancy and Pediatrics (CCP) through the International Chiropractic Association Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (ICA).
Drs. Ryan and Monica have compiled a highly professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate TEAM. Not only have they been voted Favorite Chiropractic Clinic, they are always looking to implement the most scientific, researched healthcare therapies on the market.
Ryan and Monica have three adorable little girls, Rylee, Dylan and Kaelyn.
Dr. Ian Quartermus
Dr. Quartermus is originally from Westphalia, MI. His fascination with the function of the human body lead him to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from Michigan State University. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Ian wanted to find a profession that would allow him to use the healing power of the body to make people as healthy as they were meant to be. This search lead him to chiropractic. Dr. Ian graduated with honors from Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA in 2012. While in chiropractic school he focused on structural correction of the spine and how it can improve a person's function. In his free time, Dr. Ian enjoys spending time with his wife Krystal and their dog, Gauge, as well as reading, running, sports and music.
Cara Wirth | Director of Accounts Receivables
Cara's first introduction to chiropractic was when she walked through the doors of Total Health Chiropractic in 2003 for a chiropractic assistant position. After learning the ropes and absorbing everything that chiropractic offers, she fell in love with not only chiropractic, but the segue to a natural lifestyle in all aspects. Chiropractic opened the doors to the concepts that shaped the person she is today. Cara is now a Certified Chiropractic Coder and continues her education through numerous seminars held by the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, National Academy of Chiropractic Coders, Medicare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. She aims to be thoroughly knowledgeable of insurance, so the patient can focus on their treatment.
When Cara is not taking care of insurance business, you can find her with her husband, Jordan, taking care of their 2 beautiful little ladies, Cadence and Coewyn. She also thrives on thrifty shopping, loves a good beat or book. she is a seeker of healthy living, intrigued with personal development, is slightly obsessed with food, and is passionate about living life through the eyes of her daughters.
Becky Clark | Office Manager
Becky started at Total Health as an intern from ROSS Medical Education Center. She loved the staff, atmosphere, and patients of Total Health so much that she stayed on as a chiropractic assistant after completing her medical insurance billing and office administration course at ROSS. Becky was born and raised in Lansing and continues to reside on the south side with her husband and two beautiful daughters, Tabitha and Fiona. She is passionate about natural alternatives in healthcare, especially natural childbirth and had both her children out of hospital with the assistance of midwives. In her spare time Becky loves crocheting silly hats for her kids, cooking, and taking naps in her hammock.
DeShonda McFadden | Receptionist
DeShonda was born in Saginaw, MI and raised in a small town called Defiance, OH. She played volleyball, basketball and ran track in high school and graduated as the class valedictorian in 2002. After working as a nurse's aide for 13 years because she knew she loved helping people and had a greater purpose. She received a scholarship at LCC for the nursing program, but she changed her career path after a year, attending Davenport University for health administration and Ross for medical assisting. Se was first introduced to Chiropractic after her brother was diagnosed with scoliosis. DeShonda has two brothers and two sisters, is married, and enjoys fishing, reading, shopping, and spending time with family.
Jason Hartzell | Certified Health Coach
Jason is originally from Kalamazoo and spent a large part of his younger years on his family's farm in Marcellus, MI. His love for nutrition & physical fitness started in middle school and has continued and developed throughout the years. When Jason isn't training, racing or working, he enjoys spending time with his wife & 3 children as well as cooking and sharing his excitement and knowledge of bio-individuality and nutrition. Jason is excited to be a part of the Total Health Chiropractic team and break down the sometimes complicated world of nutrition in order to simplify and individualize it in a way that helps his clients reach their weight loss goals & live healthier lives.
Anthony Calabro | Spinal Rehab Technician
Originally from Niagara Falls, New York, Anthony moved to Brown City, Michigan when he was 5 years old. He never really knew what Chiropractic was until he injured his back playing baseball in high school. He went to a local Chiropractor and fell in love with the holistic approach and avoided using medication. Starting at Michigan State University in the fall of 2013, he quickly switched his major from Engineering to Kinesiology the day of academic orientation. It was the greatest decision he could have ever made. He's currently a Senior at Michigan State with plans of attending Life University: College of Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia after graduation. Health, fitness and sports are a huge part of his life and loves helping others achieve their goals. Total Health Chiropractic has changed his life tremendously, and he hopes he can give you the same experience throughout your Spinal Rehab! GO GREEN!
