Man breaks world record for longest swim under ice

LAHOST, Czech Republic (CBS) – A free diver from the Czech Republic has now set a new world record for swimming under ice.

David Vecle swam 265 feet under a large sheet of ice. He broke the previous record by four meters and according to organizers, the ice he swam under was a foot thick.

Organizers say he was underwater for a minute and 30 seconds at temperatures that were under 35 degrees
