Naval mine washes up on Florida beach

Don't Miss

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (CBS) – Some beachgoers saw a surprise wash up on shore over the weekend – that being a naval mine.

Officials say the mine was a possible military explosive training device.

It was marked inert, which means it might have been used as a dummy mine for training purposes.

Out of caution, bomb squad officials responded and removed it from the beach.
