Sage Chick is a senior at Eaton Rapids High School. Chick thinks his choir classes are fantastic.
Chick started in plays because he went to see Shrek THE MUSICAL at Wharton Center when he was young. He said he was close to the stage and “just seeing these people be these people and singing and being on stage and acting just really grabbed my attention and got me hooked.”
One of his favorite roles was Captain Hook because he got to be a villain.
“the thing that I find so amazing about Sage is he is dedicated to his craft,” Eaton Rapids choir teacher Anthony Funaro said. “He takes his lessons very seriously. He practices, he thinks about the nuance things that oftentimes a lot of young singers don’t think about and so I think that’s what sets Sage aside from all of the amazing kids we have here in Eaton Rapids.”
