Many people have no idea what they can put down their garbage disposals. What can you safely dispose of?
There is a common misconception that garbage disposals can be used while preparing meals.
Raw vegetables, fat from you meat and paper items such as butter wrappers should not go down the drain.
The consequences are backed up sinks, leaking pipes and a mess you don’t want to have to deal with.
Leave your disposal for use while washing dishes and scraping cooked cooked food off your plate. This doesn’t include leftovers from the fridge!
If your disposal is jammed or humming it doesn’t necessarily mean you need a new one. It might need reset or unjammed.
These tips will keep your drains flowing and your wallets full rather than empty.
