Five words/phrases that describe me:Talkative, Hard-Working, Dedicated, Cyclist, Cat-Mom
Hometown:Port Huron, Michigan
Education:Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Central Michigan University
Experience:I was the weather intern with WLNS in 2012, and then I became the fill-in meteorologist in April of 2013. I joined the weekend crew in September 2013, and then moved to the weekday morning show in June 2014.
Most interesting assignment:I’d have to say ‘Free Coffee Friday!’ It’s a busy and fun day where I go live from different Biggby locations and hang out with our awesome TV-6 viewers.
I’m passionate about:My family and my cats, Eta and KP!
When I’m not forecasting:You can probably find me catching up on some much-needed sleep, or riding bicycles with my fiancé, Donnie.
Other places you may have seen her:I worked at Michaels Arts and Crafts in Frandor, so you may have seen me stocking those crafty shelves! I also dedicate my time to the Boys and Girls Club of Lansing and serve on the Board of Directors, so I’m in and out of there quite often.
Favorite place in Mid-Michigan:Frances Park and Sleepy Hollow State Park
What I love most about Mid–Michigan:I love all the festivals that go on throughout the year. There is always something to do and somewhere to go for entertainment. I also really like how we can get the “big city feel” while in Lansing, but then we can drive ten minutes outside of town and enjoy the countryside. There’s a little bit of everything here!
What you may not know about me:I knew I wanted to be a meteorologist since the 7thI used to have a huge fear of speaking in front of people. Macaroni & Cheese and pizza are my favorite foods. I make homemade chocolate milkshakes more often than I’d like to admit.
