Lansing Mayor Andy Schor is easing restrictions on driving after calling a snow emergency on Monday.

He’s lifting travel restrictions as of 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

The city is still banning on-street parking to give plows room to clear the streets, however.

City Hall, the 54-A District Court, and other city facilities will also open for business on Tuesday.

The city is also delaying enforcement of the sidewalk shoveling ordinance until temperatures rise later this week. They want to limit people’s exposure to temperatures that might not break zero degrees on Wednesday and won’t hit double digits until Friday.

Warming centers will also remain open.
