One man is dead after an plane crash in Clinton County Thursday night.
Pilot Michael Mills, 69, was traveling from the Owosso Airport to a landing strip at a his home when the plane hit power lines just before 6:30 p.m.
The single engine experimental plane crashed at 8998 S. Bauer Road in Westphalia Township.
Investigators believe the sun may have been a factor.
Mills was airlifted to Sparrow Hospital and died last night.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, FAA and NTSB are investigating.
