A local Stockbridge pastor was robbed at the Good Shepherd Mission Church earlier today.
Pastor Billy Allen, a 69 year old pastor, workers at the church and also stays there in the living quarters. He was woken up by strange noises around four this morning, then was tased by a stun gun.
Two men broke into the house and attacked Pastor Allen by tasing him repeatedly and demanding money. The two also threatened Pastor Allen that they had a gun and would use it if he didn’t cooperate. His family says to do this to someone who means so much to the community is hard to believe.
“To torment and to hurt and to cause trauma to a pastor that’s so cares for so many people , um, I just, it’s pathetic, it’s so sad,” said Pastor Allen’s Daughter-In-Law, Kerri Allen.
Pastor Allen’s Son-In-Law, Kevin Carson, says he has no doubt he will recover soon but can’t wrap his head around what happened.
“Tying to make sense of it all , I don’t think anyone understands when things like this happen, so he just needs everyone’s prayers and he will get through it.
Pastor Allen gave them all the money he had, not evening know how much he handed over. The two guys took off with the cash and duck taped his ankles and feet together. Eventually, he broke himself free and ran to the others that were asleep in the church at the time.
One of the two men were described as a bigger white male, standing over 6’0″ ft tall and weighs anywhere from 250 to 300 lbs. The second guy was described as a 5’5 ft white male weighing about 140 lbs. Pastor Allen also told police that they were both dressed in dark clothing and believe the two left on four wheelers.
Pastor Allen is doing okay now, but was too sore and still recovering when the 6 News team arrived at the church.
If you know anything, you are asked to call Ingham County Police. If you’re tip leads to the arrest of the two men, the Allen family is offering a cash reward.
