LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation is suspending much of its active roadwork for the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Starting at 3 p.m. Friday, MDOT will remove traffic restrictions on 92 of 131 active projects statewide, including road and bridge projects. The construction suspension will end at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Some lane restrictions will remain in effect, and State Transportation Director Kirk Steudle is urging drivers to use extra caution in work zones.
