LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Remember the torrential downpours earlier this year that caused severe flooding all over the Mid-Michigan area?
Well, it’s been a long recovery for many of the businesses damaged in those floods but we have some good news from one of them.
The owners of Bake N’ Cakes say because of all the help and support they received after the flooding, they’re actually going to be able to expand to another store.
Their new location will be called “Bake N’ Cakes South.”
6 News caught up with them this weekend to ask about how the restoration process has gone.
“We’ll be producing donuts here, take them to the other store early in the morning and then bring cakes, cupcakes, cookies and brownies down to this end,” said Jeffrey Johnson; General Partner of Bake N’ Cakes.
“We decided south side doesn’t have that much stuff down here. We decided this is the place to be is Lansing south,” Wilford Johnson stated; Owner of Bake N’ Cakes.
The new Bake N’ Cakes location will be located on Lansing’s south side off of Martin Luther King Blvd.
The owners say they plan to open in a couple of weeks.
