LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Biggby Coffee is warning customers after a hacker broke in to their online system, which includes Biggby frequency cards and employment application information.
Biggby learned of the incident last week when their web developer and hosting company, Traction noticed the breach.
Information that could be in the hands of the hacker(s) includes names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and any information regarding employment history that an applicant could have entered why applying online.
The coffee company says they are not aware of any misuse of information at this time.
Biggby says no financial information or sensitive data such as credit card information, bank account numbers, social security numbers of drivers license numbers were accessed.
Traction told law enforcement and the FBI about the breach. Biggby is taking steps to ensure security of customer information and to make sure this does not happen again in the future.
