UPDATE: Shooting turned car crash by the Michigan Hall of Justice leaves one in the hospital


LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – One person in a vehicle was shot which eventually ended in a car crash.

Police say a 19-year-old male was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently in critical condition.

Officials say, the incident began at 4 a.m. and occurred near the Hall of Justice, beginning at West St. Joseph street and ending at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Ottawa St.

Between those five blocks is when the shooting is said to have occurred along with taking out multiple trees and a light pole in front of the Michigan Hall of Justice lawn.

As of now, officials with Lansing Police Department say the male is in the hospital, and the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities tell 6 News there are no threats to the public at this time.
