CBS News projects Trump as Republican Michigan Primary winner

News

(WLNS) – CBS News is projecting another win for Donald Trump and this time in Michigan.

Following what has been a very successful campaign so far Donald Trump further cemented his place as the party front-runner with Michigan’s projected victory.

Many critics including former Republican nominee Mitt Romney have recently called out Trump for his attacks against other candidates. In addition, they have also called out his lack of political experience, but that has not stopped Trump from taking a commanding delegate lead over the other three Republican candidates.

Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ronna Romney McDaniel said, “I’d like to congratulate the winner of tonight’s primary, Donald Trump. The election today clearly showed the enthusiasm Michigan voters have for strong Republican leadership. I look forward to continuing this momentum through the general election in November.

“Michigan voices and voters matter this election, and we’ll continue to play an important part in deciding the next President. Whoever becomes our nominee, we’ll do our part to support them against either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders.”
