Charlotte theater celebrates Easter with a movie

CHARLOTTE, Mich. (WLNS) – Today is Easter Sunday and across the country and here in mid-Michigan, people celebrated by going to church, to brunch, and by searching for Easter eggs, but a Charlotte theater found another way to celebrate.

First, kids got their pictures taken with the Easter bunny, then the Eaton Theatre held a free showing of the movie ‘Hop’.

The people who went said they appreciated the opportunity to do something a little different on Easter.

“It’s something that we just enjoy doing,” said LeAnn Owen, the owner of the Eaton Theatre. “It allows the community kids to come together and play for a little while, get their energy out before they head out to Easter dinner, so it’s just something that we love to do and we’re going to continue to do.”

This is the third year the theater has celebrated Easter with a bunny and a movie.
