Coaches pick UM in top ten, MSU lands 11th spot

(WLNS) – The college football season is still a few weeks away but the first of two major college polls is out and the debates can now reach new levels.

The Amway Coaches Poll is out and it places the University of Michigan in the eighth spot.

Michigan State just missed the top ten with an eleventh place ranking.

To no great surprise Alabama sits on top of the poll, followed by Clemson, Oklahoma, Florida State and Ohio State to round out the top five.

Circle October 29 on your calendar. That’s the day Michigan State hosts Michigan in their traditional showdown.

The Spartans have won seven of the past eight contests between the long-time rivals.
