The state of Michigan opened a surplus store this weekend to sell off computers, sporting goods, tools and other items.
The store was open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 8 and was located at 3111 West St. Joseph – Bldg 600 in Lansing.
Buyers were able to find property seized by police, surrendered at airports, surplus from local public colleges and items no longer being used by government agencies.
The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget collects the items and runs the surplus store.
Some of the items available were: computers, phones, cameras, computer accessories, various knives, wine keys, sporting goods, musical equipment, tools, automotive equipment, desks, file cabinets, chairs, book shelves, jewelry and other fashion accessories.
