Cops arrest man after standoff

A man is under arrest after police say he fired bullets into the floor of his second floor apartment while his neighbors were at home below.

At around 3:15 a.m., Lansing police responded to a home on Chicago Ave. between Saginaw and Oakland on the city’s northwest side.

An officer tells 6 News they were responding to a report of shots fired after they say a man fired his gun into the floor of a two story house that’s subdivided into two apartments. 

The residents of the lower apartment left and were not hurt. 

But police surrounded the home and blocked off the street for several hours. He was taken into custody peacefully around 8 a.m. Officers say he’ll likely face multiple charges.
