UPDATE: One firefighter taken to hospital after fire at Dispatch Sports Pub & Grill in Lansing Twp

UPDATE: (10:41 a.m.) — Fire officials now tell 6 News that one fire official was injured in the fire at Dispatch Sports Pub & Grill in Lansing.

That person was taken to the hospital.

Fire officials also tell 6 News that the reason that it’s taking so long to put out the fire is the roof is caving in and they are trying to be extra careful.

UPDATE: (9:24 a.m.) — Fire crews are still on the scene at Dispatch Sports Bar where there is still a significant amount of smoke coming out of the building.

LANSING TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) — Firefighters battled a large fire at the Dispatch Sports Pub & Grill on West Main Street on Thursday morning.

Officials said the fire was coming through the roof and it is not known if anybody was inside at the time the fire started. Lansing fire and Lansing medical crews are on the scene attempting to figure out what the cause of the fire is.

This fire is also causing backups on roads near the area. Lansing Road is closed along I-496 near Grand River Park. Here’s a picture of the traffic situation as of 8:00 a.m.
