DEVELOPING: Standoff Ends In Dansville

UPDATE: 11:45 a.m. – The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office tells 6 News that the standoff ended with an self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim is a 19-year-old Dansville-area resident who had reportedly entered an apartment on the 1300 block of Mason Street Thursday night. The Ingham Regional SRT entered the apartment this morning when there was no response from inside.

(WLNS) – A standoff that began around 11:00 p.m. in Dansville has apparently ended. Police were notified that a person was barricaded inside a home on the 1300 block of Mason Street near an elementary school. An area around the house was secured and police established communications with a person inside the home.

Just after 7:30 a.m. police began taking down the barricades blocking traffic. It is not believed that there were any injuries outside the home during the standoff.

The standoff led to the closing of Friday classes at schools in Dansville.
