East Lansing Art Festival: What to know, where to go

News

Whether you’re an art collector or just looking to get outside and enjoy the weather this weekend, the East Lansing Art Festival is the place to be.

The two day festival kicks off Saturday in downtown East Lansing where tens of thousands of visitors will gather to appreciate art, culture, and creativity.

This year more than 150 artists will fill the streets.

There are also several new attractions including a pop up gallery inside the East Lansing Marriott hotel, and art lab, and a sensory installation that transforms an ordinary intersection into a creative experience.

Due to construction festival parking will be offered in the Charles Street and Division Street garages.

Both will only be accessible from Grand River Ave. and will cost you a flat rate of $5.

The festival will be open on Saturday, May 19th from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. -5 p.m.

There’s also two EL After Dark concerts May 18 & 19th at 7 p.m.

There be no CATA shuttle service from the MSU commuter lots this year.
