Elementary Students Raise $433 To Help Vets Get Service Dogs

(WLNS) – Students at Post Oak Elementary School in Lansing held a penny drive to benefit Liberty’s Legacy.

It’s a program that helps veterans get service dogs.

6 News has learned they raised $433 with their penny drive.

That’s a lot of pennies.

Eric Calley, a veteran whose problems traveling with his service dog inspired the penny drive plans to come to the school soon to thank the students for their help and hard work.
