Ex-Lansing officer charged with sexual assault in court

A former lansing police officer appeared in court Wednesday. Matthew Priebe is accused sexual assault and distributing obscene material to children.

These accusations were made while he worked at Eastern High School.

Priebe was placed on administrative leave last may after several students voiced their concerns about his behavior. Priebe resigned about a month later after serving LPD for 10 years.

Wednesday morning, Priebe waived his preliminary examination and his lawyer is just happy that the case is moving along.
