Family fun events this Easter weekend

On April 20th go nuts at the Cooley Law School Stadium for the Easter Egg Helicopter Drop of 5,000 candy-filled Easter Eggs before the Dayton Dragons vs. Lansing Lugnuts game. Gates open at 11:00 AM and the game starts at 1:05 PM.

Also on April 20th, head to the Capitol Lawn from 10:00 AM to noon for the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt. This free event features face-painting, clowns, crafts, zoo animals, music, raffles, and prize baskets. The age appropriate egg hunts are for kids up to 12 years old.

Afterwards head down to Hawk Island Park for the 5th Annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt and Kids Eggstravaganza from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The Kids Egg Hunt stats at 2:30 PM while the Dog Egg Hunt begins at 3:00 PM. Other activities include kids crafts, games, photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, and free access to Soldan’s Dog Park. Tickets increase by $2 on the day of the event.

It’s a Sunday funday full of food starting with brunch at The State Room from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM or sleep in Sunday before heading to Bordeaux which will also feature a brunch menu from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Also, you can take your Easter celebration to the Capitol City Grille from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
