Four inmates escape Miss. prison


JACKSON, MS – Sheriff Tyrone Lewis says the preliminary investigation shows that the 4 Raymond Detention Center escaped inmates had help from inside and outside the jail during the escape.

The first and only inmate to be recaptured at this time is Jermaine Wilson, 19. HCSO made the arrest just after 6 p.m. in Jackson at the JD Food Mart on Capitol street. He was previously in custody on charges of capital murder and is accused in a 2012 rape and killing of a Jackson woman.

HINDS COUNTY – The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in catching four inmates that escaped from the Raymond Detention Center around 12:45 am.

Officials are looking for John Gregory Rollins, 23, Kevin Holmes, Jr., 18, Montreal Damon Anderson, 25, and Jermaine Wilson, 19.

The sheriff’s department said their preliminary investigation leads them to believe that this was a prearranged and preplanned escape.

Wilson is charged with capital murder and is accused in a 2012 rape and killing of a Jackson woman.

Holmes faces three counts of armed robbery, and Rollins is charged with auto theft and false pretense. Both men also face charges of malicious mischief.
