LANSING, Mich (WLNS) – Gas prices in Michigan ticked up seven cents per gallon in the past week.
That’s according to a statewide survey from AAA where the auto club found the average for self-serve regular gas was about $2.39 per gallon.
That price is about 21 cents less than it was at this time last year.
According to price monitoring website Gasbuddy.com the price of a gallon of regular gas in Lansing is averaging $2.36 with a low price of $2.25.
Prices are about the same in Jackson.
Even though Gasbuddy.com analysts say the price of gas is stable now AAA says gas prices in the Great Lakes region continue to be among the most volatile in the nation, amid refinery issues and tightening supplies.>>The Associated Press contributed to this report
