Goodwill in western Michigan finds inactive grenade in box of donations


LUDINGTON, Mich. (WLNS) There were some scary moments at a Goodwill Store in Ludington.

State Police officers there brought in a bomb squad to respond to the store after an old hand grenade was found in a box of donations.

However, the scare was brief as the responders quickly discovered that the potentially explosive device was inactive.

Authorities do advise that anyone who wants to dispose of military relics should contact their local police or sheriff’s department.
