Gov. Whitmer makes appointments to 3rd Circuit Court

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appointed Helal A. Farhat of Dearborn and Noah P. Hood of Detroit to the 3rd Circuit Court.

“Helal Farhat and Noah Hood are qualified legal professionals with an abundance of experience,” Whitmer said. “I have full confidence that they will perform their duties with due diligence and respect.” 

Mr. Farhat will succeed former Judge Vonda Evans and Mr. Hood will succeed former Judge Connie Marie Kelley.

Both terms expire at twelve noon on January 1st, 2021.

The appointments are not subject to advice and consent of the Senate.
