Governor Gretchen Whitmer will continue her “Road to Opportunity Tour” in Jackson on Friday, March 8th.
The Governor will visit classrooms at Northeast Elementary School in the morning to encourage students to read for March is Reading Month.
In the afternoon she will be at a Jackson Community Roundtable where she will sit down with representatives from Jackson to discuss her recent budget recommendation.
The governor has already visited Grand Rapids, Coopersville, and Detroit during her tour. Among the topics she discussed were her plans to fix the roads, invest in education, close the skills gap, and clean up Michigan’s drinking water.
