Gov. Gretchen Whitmer appoints Kristina Robinson to the 36th District Court in the City of Detroit as well as Michael Olsaver to the 39th Circuit Court in Lenawee County today.

Kristina Robinson is currently the general counsel at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and is involved with the Urban League of Detroit and Southeastern Michigan. “I have full confidence that she will continue to ensure the scales of justice remain balanced.” said Whitmer

Michael Olsaver is currently an attorney with the Robison, Curphey and O’Connell law firm and is involved with the City of Adrian Downtown Development Authority. “Michael Olsaver is a qualified legal professional with decades of experience on a litany of issues,” Whitmer said.

The appointment of Robinson was made to fill a partial term after Judge Izetta Bright stepped down while Olsaver was made to fill the remaining term of Judge Margaret Noe who also stepped down. Both appointees would be required to run for reelection in November 2020.
