Group Aims To Put A Woman’s Face On The $20 Bill

(WLNS) – A group that wants to put a woman on the $20 bill has narrowed down their choices to four candidates.

The finalists are Eleanor Roosevelt, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Cherokee Chief Wilma Mankiller.

Women On 20s wants to convince President Obama to put a woman’s face on the $20 bill. If the group succeeds, a woman’s face would replace former president Andrew Jackson’s face on the $20 bill.

Why the $20? The website, says, “the year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment that granted women the right to vote.”
