LIVINGSTON CO., Mich (WLNS) – Two women were in the right place at the right time with the right skills. And today a 4-year-old boy is alive because of that.
Our media partners at WHMI are reporting that the boy nearly drowned in a pool in Oceola Township Monday afternoon. Ellen Czajka of Walled Lake and 20-year-old Amber Staudt of Novi are certified swim instructors with lifeguard training. They had just completed teaching a swim class when they were told the child had been pulled from the bottom of the pool and was not breathing.
The pair began CPR and the child began breathing again. He was taken to a local hospital for examination and his condition is unknown.
