How to get an absentee ballot for the March 8 Primary Election

LANSING, MI (WLNS) – There’s good news for those who will be out of town and want to vote in the March 8 Presidential Primary Election.

The city of Lansing has made getting an absentee ballot simple. There are specific criteria for being eligible to receive an absentee ballot. Criteria include people who are 60 years of age or older, those who are physically unable to get to the polls without the assistance of another person, people who are out of town on Election Day, religious reasons, precinct workers who are appointed in another precinct other than the precinct in which they reside and people who are in jail waiting for arraignment or a trial.
