JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) – The search continues for a suspect who stabbed three people at a party this weekend, killing an 18-year-old from Jackson.
6 News has the latest details on the party in Grass Lake Township that authorities say got out of control.
The website for the Big Michigan Project X Party promises live music, camping, drinking, and mayhem.
But what they got was murder.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says early Sunday morning, reports of a fight sent deputies to the party’s venue, which was a field behind a house on Fishville Road.
Around the same time, three victims showed up at the hospital in Jackson with stab wounds.
Two victims are recovering, but one of them died from his injuries.
He’s been identified as Drevier Gallegos-Langston.
The 18-year-old from Jackson is seen on a GoFundMe page set up by his family for funeral expenses.
Hundreds of party-goers descended on the quiet rural area for the event this weekend.
The sheriff’s office says there may have been illegal activity going on at the party.
Investigators say so far they’ve interviewed more than 100 witnesses, and they’re still trying to piece together what happened.
The sheriff’s office is looking for additional witnesses to come forward and any pictures or video of the incident.
No arrests have been made.
The event’s organizer did not return messages, and the property’s owner did not want to comment.
