Amber Lynn Reeves was sentenced to 10-15 years in prison.

The ruling came on Wednesday, Apr.10th at the Jackson County Circuit Court.

In February, Reeves plead guilty to child abuse and manslaughter in connection to the death of 14-month-old Logan Tracy.

Prosecutors say Reeves beat Logan on October 9th because she was upset with his father, who she was dating at the time.

Logan died two days later on October 11th due to blunt force trauma to the abdomen and other complications.

Reeves family believes that Amber’s deserves to be punished for what she did, but the father Mac Tracy should also be held responsible.

“If you wake up and your *explicit* 14-month old son is black and blue, white, and doing absolutely nothing, you just lay there with him? That’s not right, that’s not fair and he should be charged.”

Reeves family has no current plans to pursue legal action.
