Large police presence spotted at Hungerford and Washtenaw in Lansing Twp.

LANSING TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) – A large police and emergency crew presence has been spotted at the intersection of Washtenaw St. and Hungerford St .in Lansing Township.

6 News photojournalists on the scene saw at least three police vehicles and one ambulance. At least one police vehicle present belonged to the Lansing Police Department.

Police taped off an area containing a white Chrysler with bullet holes.

One neighbor told 6 News that they heard what sounded like automatic gunfire.

A security guard working at the nearby GM facility claimed that he heard “six to 12 bullets fired within five seconds.” Moments after, the guard said he saw a white car speed past the Sexton football field.
