New arson detectives have been in training for about two weeks now and today they will put their skills to the test at a mock crime scene.
The Michigan State Police training division is hosting its 76th annual “Fire Investigation One” school in Williamston.
Classes started April 30 and finish tomorrow.
Veteran prosecutors, detectives and fire experts teach students how to preserve and investigate the scene of a fire.
This class is the first step in the process of becoming a certified fire investigator.
