Burning car crashes into Jackson house, search is on for driver

Local News

Jackson City and Summit Township firefighters made an unusual discovery when they were called to an early morning house fire today.

Just before 5:30 a.m. they responded to a house on the 900 block of Williams Street after neighbors said there was a fire.

According to our media partners at MLive, when crews arrived they found a burning car had crashed into a two-story home.

No driver was found and the search is on today to find out who drove the car into the house.

Several oxygen tanks in the back of the car had burned and exploded.

The house was being renovated and damage, according to a fire official, was superficial and repairable.
