Construction forces temporary voting precinct move in Lansing

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) - Due to construction at Lansing's Fairview School, there will be a temporary polling place relocation for the August 7th Primary only.

Voters who reside in Ward 1 Precinct 4 will be voting at Pattengill School, located at 626 Marshall St. rather than at Fairview School.

According to a statement released by Lansing City Clerk Chris Swope, all registered voters affected by this change will be notified via postcard.

Swope's Office has also notified impacted political candidates and neighborhood groups so that they can assist in spreading the word within the neighborhoods.

On Election Day, directional signs will be placed at both locations also.

These voters will be directed to use the parking lot on the south side of Pattengill and enter through Door 21 due to construction.
