UPDATE: (4/26) — The Lansing Police Department has released the name of the man who was found dead in a river on Saturday.
Kevin Lee Wallace, 52-years-old, was found dead in the Grand River near the dam at the Brenke Fish Ladder.
Wallace was reported as a missing person by his family on March 15, 2022.
At this point, LPD has said that foul play is not expected, but they are going to continue to investigate the missing person report and the events that led up this Wallace’s disappearance.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A man’s body has been recovered from the Grand River on Saturday afternoon.
According to Lansing Police Sergeant Michael VanBeek, a call was made to police around 1:40 p.m., saying that they saw a body near the dam at Brenke Fish Ladder.
The Capital Area Dive Team was able to recover the body, which is confirmed to be a man.
The man’s identity and cause of death have not yet been released, as the medical examiner’s office is still investigating.
There were several police officers and rescue teams in the Old Town area on Saturday, using boats and a dive team to investigate the waters.
6 News was at the scene and saw members of the Lansing Police Department, Lansing Fire Rescue as well as the Crime Scene Investigation Unit in the area.
Lansing Police ask the public to contact them with any information they may have.
